Leslie speaker maintenance and repair
Original Leslie speakers with tube amps haven’t been produced new since the 70ies. Now being 40+ years old it’s very likely they don’t fuction like new anymore, most of the times far from it. Know symptoms are:
– Hum, hiss and pop and crackle sounds coming from the speakers
– Dull and lifeless sound
– Unwanted mechanical noises
– Low volume, unwanted distortion
– Rotors wont accelerate and slowdown like they should and/or are stuck
– Rotors turn too slow
A Leslie speaker is essential for the beloved Hammond sound. The get your Leslie in perfect condition it needs maintenance, just like a Hammond. Vintage Instrument Service oofers three service packages. Of course we can also do repairs for you too, scroll below for a pricelist of the most common repairs. In some cases we can work on your Leslie at your place , but will charge extra for that. It is however recommended to have the work done in our workshop. You can bring it or we can collect is for you. We will charge extra for that.

Repairs and modifications

Since we aim for authenticity don’t ask us to do exotic mods like installing speakon plugs or make custom cabinets etc. All prices include materials and VAT.
